Zoey Castelino is an award-winning writer and freelance journalist. For the better part of the past ten years, she has shared stories from her life, career and daily adventures, as well as her random thoughts and opinions through her blog. You can be sure that after all that time, she largely ignores the rule of “unbiased” journalism and pretty much calls it like she sees it.
Zoey was born and raised in Sea Isle City, New Jersey, attended college in Montreal, Quebec and has called Toronto “home” since 2002. Because of this, she foolishly believes the Toronto Maple Leafs will one day make the Stanley Cup Playoffs. She has also lived in Ottawa and went back to Montreal for five years.
Her writing subjects include lifestyle, music, movies, food and beverages, humor, city life and travel. She is fluent in English, French, Italian and Spanish. Fittingly enough, she also enjoys the cuisines associated with those languages.
Since the start of the 21st Century, she has been chronicling her life through her personal web site and has turned Zoey’s World into not only one of Toronto’s first regular blogs written by a female writer, but as well one of the more successful blogs in the city.
In completely unrelated information, she has a very impressive collection of leather pants and skirts and really enjoys smoked salmon.
