Would you believe up until this morning, I had no idea who Lady GaGa was? If you had told me there was a grown woman who goes by that name, I would assume she’s either a professional wrestler or a stripper.
Turns out she’s neither. (At least not yet.) She’s a singer. And she has a song called Poker Face. Yes, as shocking as this may seem, I knew nothing about this. (Nobody clears anything with me anymore.)
After getting a quick recap of who Lady GaGa is, courtesy of a colleague of mine, turns out that I’d actually heard the song before, but of course had no clue that Ms. GaGa was the person behind it. It’s something you hear in the background when you’re shopping at Dynamite or LeChateau — which, despite being 34, I still do from time to time. (What can I say? They have satin skirts.)
Well, I’ll just add this little nugget to the ever growing basket of examples of how old I’m getting and how out of touch I am with what “the cool kids” listen to.
Here’s the video so you too can have “can’t read my, can’t read my, no he can’t read my p-p-p-p-poker face” stuck in your head all weekend too.
