There seemed to be a little debate over when this website’s birthday is… just to clear things up, it’s JULY 26, not June… sorry for any mix-up. Aside from that, it’s been really hot here in Toronto (yes, I’m back in town) How’s the weather where you are?
Looks like I will be heading to Montreal for a few days. I’ll be back in Toronto probably on Sunday night. Other than that, nothing much.
Those who know me, know that I like to get an early start on Monday mornings… a trip to the gym, a Latte at Starbucks, and then off to the tasks that have to be done. Today, I said screw it. I stayed in bed, walked around the house in my night slip and made my own Latte at home.
Tomorrow will be my day of getting things done. Maybe even another shopping trip to Danier seeing as a Half-Price leather sale is too good to pass up! How was your weekend?
Ahh… nothing like a great half-price sale at Danier Leather to make the day pass by. Getting out and shopping yesterday sure can take one’s mind of problems, and of course, work.
I was supposed to go to Montreal this weekend for the Montreal Grand Prix race, but even the temping offer of Pit-Crew Press Passes doesn’t really make me feel like heading down the highway. Maybe next month… after all, I am due for another Montreal road-trip and another shopping outing with Charley!
For now I will enjoy my new leather pants and skirts.
What was it I was going to say? Oh yeah… now I remember…
THE NEW JERSEY DEVILS ARE 2003 STANLEY CUP CHAMPIONS
Yesterday, on the 9th day of June of 2003, the New Jersey Devils became three-time Stanley Cup Champions. This is great news seeing as they were playing the Mighty Ducks. (Lord only knows how THAT ever happened.) So good job to the Devils who (pardon the pun), played like Hell.
I also felt that an All-You-Can-Eat rib feast at Lonestar Cafe would be a nice treat, and as you can imagine, it was. So all in all, it was a good night.
Finally, the week is over. It was a very stressful one but I did manage to take in some movies including Bruce Almighty which was both funny and touching. The best thing about it was “not too much Jennifer Aniston.”
And yes, in case you were wondering, the movie theater nachos were good, as always. But the kid behind the counter must be new and not know me because he needed to be “reminded” to add some more cheese (a few times). He knows better now. He also knows just how I like my Dr. Pepper. All is right in the world.
Happy Middle of the Year to you all. Six months already. Can you believe it?
I didn’t feel like going to the screening of 2 Fast 2 Furious movie that will be taking place this week. Not really in the mood for it these days. Besides, Vin Diesel isn’t it, so what’s the point?
But speaking of the need for speed, I have been giving a lot of thought to racing personal water-craft again. You know, Sea-doos and such. I loved the rush of it and miss it. It was only a part time thing, but it still was amazing.
How has your week been?
